About Us
Robert (J. Robert Whittle) and I (Joyce Sandilands) are award-winning Canadian authors but, years before, a medical calamity disrupted our somewhat normal lives. I had been interested in health for many years and Robert, as a mining engineer, had been trained in first aid for extreme conditions. None of this prepared us quite enough, however, for what was to happen in March 1994 … when Robert contracted a serious staphlococcos infection in his leg following a surgery. This blog is our personal story, how he survived, and what we learned to enable us to be healthier than we could have ever imagined. We hope these pages will serve to enlighten you in your quest for good health and will be ongoing as time allows.
